So, I'm jealous I'm not at RT, but that's okay... in the meantime, I worked on pitch cards for the Colorado conference! Thanks to my friend, Karen Doctor, I feel my story is now more cohesive! i'm very pleased with how they turn out, despite that I might fail horribly with pitching to the Dorchester editor I'm scheduled to meet with. LOL! It's my first, so I'll be terrified, but I feel I'll have something GOOD I can pitch to him and that it's not just all in my head. As an opening, I have... "Kyra’s Curse is a fantasy romance set in a mythical world where magic, prophecy, and love intertwine to conquer evil."
Wish me luck! Now I just need to finish it! I'm almost there!

To kick off my first post, I thought I'd write a review of the latest book I've read.
Let me just say that Helen Hardt is a great writer. She's able to write inspiration into short, fun stories and I love her style. Of course, I may be a little biased because she's a friend. ;-)
Her work is hot and steamy and if I weren't already pregnant, I'd certainly be waiting for my husband when he gets home after reading one of her books! Her heroes are believable and sexy and the heroines are strong and assertive, even if they have a little bit of doubt (don't we all?).
You can find more of Helen's work at The Wild Rose Press and more information about her can be found at her website. Her blog, which is loaded with yummy man-candy can be found at Helen's Heroes.
Alright, I promised myself I'd start writing in a blog. I'm not usually a blogger, but life is changing for me so I'm going to give it a shot!
Not sure what to say exactly in my first post... I want this blog to be about writing, the writing industry, inspiration, and a little about me, and yet somehow different. A lot of it will probably be my musings!
